Whale Watching tours in Ensenada, Baja California
Each winter, between december and april, the gray whale makes its journey from the colder Bering Sea, near Alaska, all the way down to the Baja Scammons Lagoon, and San Ignacio Lagoon, where the warmer waters are good for them to mate and give birth.
Ensenada is the first place south of the border where you will find the whale watching tours. An not only whales, you will also enjoy seeing seagulls, pelicans, sea lions, dolphins, seals and other marine animals.
In this tour you will have transportation from Tijuana to Ensenada, where you will board the sport fishing boat that will take you very near Todos Santos Island, a 3 and a half hour boat trip. After that, enjoy the famous Ensenada sea food, and explore the Calle Primera, the main tourist street of Ensenada, offering bars, cafes, restaurants, curios stores, art galleries and all kind of souvenirs and fun.
Schedule
- The trip beggins at 8:00 in the morning. Departing from Tijuana. We will receive you at the meeting point in Tijuana (Airport, border crossing, etc.). We will drive you from there, passing Rosarito, all the way to Ensenada. It´s a one and a half hour road trip.
- Once in Ensenada, we will register to board the sport fishing boat and then to enjoy the tour!
- At about 2:30 P.M. maybe you want to eat something so you will have time to enjoy the famous fish tacos of the Ensenada fish market, or any other option that you like. A very short walk from there is Calle Primera (1st street), where you will find all kinds of crafts and fun.
- At 5:00 P.M. we will reunite to ride back to the border at Tijuana. We will take you to the finishing point of the trip, like the San Ysidro Border Crossing. We should be ther by 7:00 P.M
